Dr Ntsibane Ntlatlapa
Ntsibane is a distinguished academic and technology leader with over 30 years’ experience and proven track record in driving digital innovation and contributing to sustainable development. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at the LINK Centre, University of the Witwatersrand, where he leads research and teaching initiatives focused on digital transformation and its societal implications.
Prior to joining the LINK Centre, Dr Ntlatlapa held a Centre Head position at the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution South Africa (C4IRSA), where he oversaw the development of strategic partnerships and research projects. He also served as the Competency Area Manager for NextGen Enterprises and Institutions at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), where he led research on wireless communications and networking.
Dr Ntlatlapa's expertise spans a wide range of areas, including:

- Internet of Things (IoT)

In addition to his academic and research contributions, Dr Ntlatlapa has played a significant role in shaping digital policy and development in South Africa and Lesotho. He has served as a consultant on numerous projects, including leading research for the Lesotho ICT Policy and acting as the inaugural Director for the ICT Department in the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI).
