Kudakwashe is a seasoned cyber security, risk and IT advisory professional with more than 15 years’ consultancy experience across the African continent - servicing clients in the public sector, as well as the financial services, energy, mining, aviation and telecommunications industries.

He is the Director and Head of Cyber Advisory at SNG Grant Thornton - a leading SA firm helping organisations prepare themselves for cybersecurity threats, ensure ongoing protection, react effectively to attacks and drive change to improve their cybersecurity capability. He was previously the Information Systems Auditor at Old Mutual.

Kudakwashe's experience includes advising various clients on how to effectively manage cyber risks, highlighting measures to secure and protect information stored and processed on computers. He is a regular guest speaker at cyber security events including the Cybercrime and Insurance Conference and ITWeb Security Summit, as well as conferences organised by ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) and IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors).

As a contribution to the information security and management profession, he has written articles on cyber security and trending technology topics, including ransomware, data breaches and the importance of IT governance.
